As a school counselor, I am here to be an advocate for all students and ensure they are successful. My passion is helping each and every student identify their strengths and reach their full potential. I thoroughly enjoy the energy, activity, and development of middle school students and look forward to assisting the David E Owens Middle School students look deeper into their future opportunities as they prepare for high school.

Mrs. Sara Grompone

I am excited to join the counseling team at David. E. Owens Middle School. I have had the opportunity to serve the New Milford community since 2000.  I'm here to support all students as they navigate the exciting and sometimes challenging middle school years. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where every student feels seen, heard, and supported. My main goals for students are to support their academic success, promote social and emotional awareness and growth, and to encourage students to think about their interests and strengths as they look ahead to high school and beyond.
